Mexican vanilla beans are some of the most expensive in the world. These beans are 8 inches in length. They have strong vanilla aromas with long glossy pods and rich chocolate tones. These vanilla pods come directly from Veracruz, Mexico.
Vanilla is a gift of Veracruz, Mexico to the world. The Aztecs used vanilla: tilxochitl (black flower) to perfume a drink called xocolatl (chocolate), prepared with vanilla and cocoa for the first banquet offered to Hernan Cortes.
